Two more people are now in custody related to a theft at London's Heathrow Airport in which 21 people were injured by what is thought to be pepper spray, as stated by police.

A 24-year-old man, was arrested in the Lambeth area on suspicion of theft and assault and a 23-year-old woman was arrested for suspected conspiracy to commit robbery. They both are still being held, authorities confirmed.

These detentions follow a probe into an assault at the multi-level parking garage at Heathrow's Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Before the incident, a pair of female travelers were robbed of their luggage after getting out of a car park lift.

A three-year-old girl was one of the injured in the event. Five people went to hospital for medical care and were later discharged.

Police detained a 31-year-old man on suspicion of theft and assault near the scene. He has since been released pending further inquiries as the investigation proceeds.

Police were called at approximately 08:10 GMT after reports came in regarding a number of people hurt by an irritating chemical thought to be an irritant spray.

The assault - which authorities stated was a standalone incident and not being treated as an act of terror - resulted in delays to rail services and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 parking facility briefly.
